Camping at Bear Lake ( Aug 10-12)

On Wednesday morning we left for Garden City, Utah for Bear Lake. Mike was able to take time off work so he could come and enjoy the vacation with us. We camped at a KOA. I have never done that before. It was really just tents lined up with common bathrooms they also had cabins you could rent we just stayed in out tent. It is a fun way to go somewhere to stay. The kids love being in the tent. They had lots of things to do. There was a pool, a nightly hayride, places to ride bikes, we did not take the girls bike since we had not room for them but they did take turns riding there friend bikes, lots of people watching, and mini-golf. We had a fun time.

Bear lake was beautiful. It is a lake where the shore leads out to a shallow wading area. It takes about 50 feet or so before you can't walk and have to start swimming. Grace and Alena went into a small inflatable boat with there friends and Becky pulled them around in the water since I had to watch Michael. When I did get brave enough to go out in the cold water I did see some fish and they are quite big. Mike took a small little boat so he could go out in the water to fish he was not able to catch anything but did enjoy it even though it was not very long like he likes.

We had so much fun being able to spend the time as a family and with our really really good friends. Mike had to leave on Friday to make it back for work since he was not able to take it off from Cracker Barrel so he made the drive home while we stayed to enjoys the rest of the vacation that we needed so much.
